Really difficult to comment on the game today. The fact that they were passing it around and kept the ball was decent. Possession is the key and the first rule of football is always "They can't score if they dont have the ball". The problem was today they took it a step to far. When possession and patience is drummed in so hard as the style of football you need to play, players become terrified of losing the ball. Thats why we saw so many passes around the back 4 - Even preferred over the easiest of balls to the midfield. None of the players were willing to take any risks whatsoever, in order to avoid becoming "The guy who kept losing the ball today". I have 2 issues that I think a lot of people disagree with me about. Firstly, Miles Addisson... I have tried my best every game to see why everyone loves him and I just can't see it. He is slow in everything he does. He can't pass, he can't run with the ball, he can't run WITHOUT the ball. I think everyone seems to love him because he is massive. He constantly plays like he has just climbed 17 Flights of stairs to get on the pitch. Secondly, Marc Pugh. I can only assume that he isn't getting played because he will be leaving Dean Court very soon and he is being protected from injury. If he gets injured before he goes on loan or before January then we are screwed because we wont be able to sell him and he will go for free in the summer. Just offload him now if he wants to leave, it must be pretty disruptive for the other players and for him. Finally, I know it isnt Cook or Grabbans fault, but we had 2 right footed players down the left - neither of which were confident with there left. I noticed Cookie make more passes with the outside of his right boot than his left foot. Also, we played a Diamond formation which relies on Wingbacks pushing up. A Right-footed centreback playing at Left-Back is uncomfortable enough, But a Right-Footed Centreback at Left-Wingback is ridiculous. Cook is a Quality centre half but has NONE of the attributes required of Left Wingback. Flahaven may as well have played there... Finally on Groves - He is useless yes, but if he is sacked we will get someone worse like Chris Hargreaves or some other "promotion from within". I think getting him out would be to our detriment, especially since he just spent all our money and hasn't had time for the team to gel quite yet. As for Harry Redknapp becoming manager? If he gets the Bournemouth Managers job this season, I will donate £80 to whichever local charity wins a poll on here. Shortly after eating everyones hats

Sadly Harry Redknapp will not become manager. Now for the game. First half was AWFULL second half was much better but we need some stikers who can score except for Tubbs. McQuiod has not impressed me so far

Abit harsh on Groves as he should have won past games if the strikers would just perform. Today was bad but to say Groves out after performances at Yoavil & Portsmouth I think is pretty harsh. The thing that I get annoyed about Groves is just really his line up tbh.
Will-AFCB
I think his record at AFCB speaks volumes, played 16 won 3. Simply not good enough and actually worse than his career record of 20% victories. How much longer can the investors in the club put up with this? What worries me is that they don't seem to see the obvious, and think that signing more players is the answer! Listen to the fans, Eddie.
believe!
The fact that he was going to bring Thomas on, but changed his mind based on fans chanting for Tubbs, shows that he is a weak manager. (Regardless of the fact that Tubbs was the right decision)!

WHO THE HELL PRODUCES THSE STATISTICS 16 GOAL ATTEMPTS NEVER 7 ON TARGET DEFINATLY NOT.Are you paid by Eddie Mitchell to convince us we are watching good football?
kenny1
Agree completely with chris skyline about addison, cook and elphick are the best centre backs by a mile. as for not sacking Groves cos we'll get someone worse, i dont think there is anybody that could do worse. And time for the team to gel?....hes had time. Will-AFCB you say its harsh on groves after performances at yeovil and pompey, well yeovil was the same as hartlepool, but pompey away in the JPT was by far our best game! but 1 good game is not enough for him to stay. I would love to be proved wrong and start to go at teams instead of so much negative football. Im sure im not the only frustrated fan with our start to the season.

I'm just saying prehaps when you look at the chances we have in each game & the chances the opposition have than it could really mean that the strikers just arn't performing but everything else seems to be working which Groves has the part to blame because of not using Tubbs. And yes there is a number of things you can blame Groves for so if he were to get sacked I wouldn't care a great deal depending on who we replace him with? There isn't many better options out there & previding the fact that it is Groves first major season in charge with a big team then you can only expect him to be under-pressure & adding pressure would just make things worse. You've got to face it Eddie Howe was a 1 off & he's at a team like Burnely for a reason.
Will-AFCB
I would like to know why Meades hasn't featured at all considering he is meant to be competing for Daniels spot. & do the fans believe Elphick is better than Zubar because I shore don't? & also would like to know what people think of Grabban because he got man of the match from supporters & sponsors & from my view I thought he was awful again.
Will-AFCB
I think Zubar is better than Addison and Elphick is better than both.
