Stockley joins Accrington on loan

AFC Bournemouth striker Jayden Stockley has joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on loan.

AFCB Vital sponsored Stockley hasn't featured for the Cherries since picking up a dead leg against Yeovil in the Football League Trophy last month and has joined Accrington Stanley on loan until 5th December.

Accrington Stanley have three League Two games over that period, starting with a home game against Bristol Rovers on Saturday, followed by an away trip to Macclesfield and another home game against Dagenham and Redbridge at the end of the month.

AFC Bournemouth have also given permission for Stockley to play in the first round of the FA Cup away to Notts County.

Stockley told AFCB Vital...

"I wanted to go out on loan as I just felt I needed to go out and play and gain some experience this season.

"I am delighted to be going to Accrington and aim to repay them with hard work and goals."

Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman told accringtonstanley.co.uk...

'I think he's one of the youngest players to have played in the Football League, he's keen to go out and play football and that's what you want in lads of that age.

'Another striker is something we need. We had one in the pipeline that fell through last night and thankfully we had a couple of other options. We need to be addressing the fact that we haven't been scoring enough goals and that's the reason why we've brought Jayden in.'
