The 6ft 4" shotstopper arrived at Dean Court with a huge amount of experience, having played for Legia Warsaw in Poland, Celtic in Scotland, Fiorentina in Italy and Southampton in the Premier League.

He has won four league titles, one in Poland and three in Scotland along with four cup competition honours in the same countries.

Boruc has also gained UEFA Champions League experience playing for Celtic.

During his career he has made over 300 club appearances and he has 58 international caps to his name, representing Poland at the 2006 World Cup and 2008 European Championships.

Under former Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino, Boruc was a regular for our Premier League neighbours making 50 appearances between September 2012 and September 2014.

But under new manager Ronald Koeman he fell out of favour and lost his place in the side.

Seeking first team football, Boruc joined the Cherries on loan in September 2014 and made 39 appearances, including 37 in the Championship.

Boruc was only on the losing side five times since making the move to Dean Court, including a League Cup quarter final defeat to Liverpool.

He kept 17 clean sheets and conceded 36 times and played a major part in AFC Bournemouth's Championship winning side, earning promotion to the Premier League.

Boruc signed a permanent deal with the Cherries in May 2015 following his release from Southampton.
