Pen Pic

The former West Brom youth team graduate, who played for England at Under 17's level went on to join Millwall in May 2011 without a single appearance at WBA.

He spent a year with Millwall again failing to break into the first team set up, before a move to League One side Leyton Orient at the start of the 2012/13 season provided Allsop with his break.

Allsop went on to sign a six months contract and quickly impressed, breaking into the first team and going on to make 24 appearances.

Orient however were unable to agree a new contract with Allsop and he left the club in January 2013, signing what was reported at the time as a three and a half year contract with the Cherries a few days later.

He eventually broke through into the Cherries first team squad and became the sides first choice 'keeper for the final 10 games of the season as AFC Bournemouth won promotion to the Championship.

Allsop maintained his place as first choice as the Cherries began the 2013/14 season in the Championship, but after three months he lost his place to new signing Lee Camp.

Since that point he has only played a bit part role in AFC Bournemouth's climb from the second tier into the Premier League.

The 2014/2015 promotion season Allsop spent on loan with League One Coventry City playing 27 times.

The 2015/16 season saw Allsop make his Premier League debut, replacing injured Adam Federici at half time against Everton.

However he spent the remainder of the season on loan with League Two sides Wycombe (18 appearances) and Portsmouth (2 play-off appearances).

Last season due to injuries to both Artur Boruc and Adam Federici he made his first Premier League start on the final day of the season at Leicester City.

However since the £8million signing of Asmir Begovic, Allsop has slipped further down the pecking order.

He began the 2017/18 season with League One side Blackpool.
