The attacking midfielder began his career at Brighton.

At 18 he was diagnosed with a tumour which was eating into his spine. He underwent successful surgery and spent three months in a restrictive body cast before returning to full fitness.

He dropped into the non-league making around 150 appearances for Dorchester and Havant & Waterlooville, scoring over 30 goals.

He was voted the Supporters' Player of the Season at Havant & Waterlooville in 2009/10 and 2010/11.

He signed a 3 year deal with AFC Bournemouth in October 2011 but left on a free transfer to League Two side Portsmouth in January 2014.
