Mark Molesley was signed initially on a loan deal by previous manager Jimmy Quinn, but after several impressive performances and despite Quinn being sacked on the same day. Molesley made his move from Grays to Bournemouth permanent, signing an 18 month contract on the opening day of the transfer window on New Years Day 2009, the same day as Eddie Howe was named as manager.

Molesley made his Football League debut late in his career, but adapted well from non league to become a favourite at Dean Court.

However he was plagued by a foot injury throughout the 2009/10 season and was out of action for 15 months.

Injuries continued to plague his career and he spent two periods out on loan with League Two sides Aldershot and Plymouth moving away from Dean Court permanently when he joined Exeter on a free transfer in January 2013.

He also returned to Aldershot Town for a third spell later in 2013.

In August 2015 he returned to Dean Court as an Under 15's academy coach.

In February 2017 following Stephen Purches taking a first team coaching role, Molesley was promoted to coaching the development squad.
