Jalal joined The Cherries on trial in August 2008. After an impressive showing during the pre-season campaign, Jalal agreed terms for a 1 month loan with Bournemouth.
AFC Bournemouth and the Posh agreed permanent terms weeks later in a move that saw Jalal join the Cherries permanently.
Jalal has been an integral part of the Cherries squads that avoided relegation from the Football League despite a seventeen point deduction in 2009, before winning promotion to League One in 2010.
Jalal is contracted to AFC Bournemouth until the summer of 2012.
