Battle Of The Beaches

Ben Burgess showed his class for Blackpool to set up one goal for Adrian Forbes in the first half before scoring one himself in the second.

Before the game many thought The Cherries had a real chance to snatch some points, the recent run of form that Bonds boys have been on has reminded fans how effective the team can be.

Bournemouth fans were handed a real boost just before the game in the news that Michael Jackson, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest entertainers and popular recording artists in modern times, perfecting, popularizing, and heralding new techniques, like the robot and the moonwalk, was struck down with sickness and had to be withdrawn from the starting eleven.

Bournemouth however were soon under the cosh from kick off, Blackpool prodded and poked the Cherries resolve and unable to reply, it was only a matter of time before the Tangerines scored the opener.

To make matter worse, arguably Bournemouth most battling midfield man Marcus Browning had to hobble off with a calf injury leaving Bond no option but to field the more attacking minded Hollands.

Nothing really changed and just over half an hour gone into the game and Adrian Forbes struck, Burgess almost walked through the Bournemouth midfield and from the right found the waiting Forbes, who stretched his foot out and caught the ball precisely enough to beat Moss and nestle in the far side.

With ten minutes to play until half time Cherries did little to get back on terms.

Second half and Bond already made a change, the hot shot Pitman was replaced by the Cherries top scorer Hayter, who is overcoming a recent injury. Bournemouth reverted to a back three with wingbacks in the hope to pose a more attacking threat. Unfortunately it did nothing to improve the visitor`s chances with Blackpool getting another goal within ten minutes.

This time Burgess himself scored with a confused Cherries defence looking on - I wonder who was supposed to be marking him? Barker crossed from the right wing and Burgess put it away from 12 yards.

The remaining minutes passed and Bournemouth managed to string together a few chances but nothing good enough to write about.

The Tangerines made Bournemouth suffer and even Kevin Bond admitted after that game that Blackpool were the much better team.

Bond said - It's disappointing for us and disappointing for those who travelled.

Hopefully we can turn it around for Saturday, and for all you statos Bournemouth`s form looks ominously like a pattern is forming.

W-W-L-L-W-W-L-L-W-W-L…?

BMB - Feels we missed Browning influence

see Marcus gets injured and we fall apart :( Happens everytime :(

Hopefully we'll get Marcus back for Saturday or we're in the doodoo :(

We always crumble without Marcus

Yeah I know, change the record...but it's true!

GaryRB - He's a realistic kinda guy.

Did we expect anything?? 3 consecutive wins would have been exceptional, so lets not get too down-hearted. A point on Sat wil do for me

What you think...
LOL Tieger - like your style :D And Marcus is out for Saturday I'm told :( bmb

I can't believe you wrote so much about the loss of Michael Jackson. A loss by the way that actually strengthened our defence! sandgroanun

I was trying to find something to smile about sandgroanun, your team were fantastic granted but I dont want to talk about that! I am far to jealous and petty.Sorry. Tieger

Apology accepted...anyway fingers crossed for 3 points on Saturday! sandgroanun
