AFC Bournemouth picked up their third successive victory away to Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.
Following on from the 5-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers and the 1-0 win over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, Eddie Howe's side collected all three points with a well deserved 1-0 victory over Blackburn.
Steve Cook had hit the post during the first half, but the breakthrough eventually came, when Lewis Grabban scored his 15th goal of the season with a 20 yard drive beating former England 'keeper Paul Robinson.
The win lifts the Cherries to 12th in the Championship table.
AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told BBC Radio Solent...
"It was totally different to Blackpool, we set up in a different way and had a different game plan, and the players executed it magnificently tonight, To come here and play the way we did, we outfought Blackburn and I think outplayed them at times, and had the best chances.
"I couldn`t be more pleased with my players in terms of mentality and how they approach the games and how they adapt to what we ask them to do...'
"...I think that`s a top performance here today.
Bit of an edgy first ten minutes, they came out with a flea in their ear and it showed, successive corners and Rhodes looked dangerous. However, a few early headers was as much as either he or Gestede got out of Elphick and Cook all night. They were, in a word, immense.
The real key was midfield. We had such space with the terrific trio in there. Surman was the best of the lot and supported well, Arter full of running and O'Kane improved as the game went on. Fraser was not at his best, but worked hard and Ritchie showed some of the sort of stuff we've been missing recently.
Grabban led the line terrifically once more. It's clear this formation is perfect away from home, even if not at home. Grabban is one of the best I've seen at this club in terms of leading the line, be it alone, or with a partner. He's full of running, can hold the ball up, always creating an option. 15 goals and I would not rule out 20. Full of confidence.
I can't see any errors or issues that need desperate work at the moment and that's a credit to the lads, Eddie, Jason and the coaching staff. We're tight, compact, working for eachother, but still playing some lovely stuff.
Don't get me wrong, Blackburn were bloody awful, but we made them look silly at times and it could have been more than one if not for a cracking couple of saves and a header cleared off the line.
