First double of the season against Swans?

AFC Bournemouth
vs.
Swansea City

Dean Court

18th March 2017

5.30pm

After still getting our breath back after the exciting finish to our game against West Ham, we have another important home game on Saturday against a side just below us in the league, Swansea City. This game has a later kick-off time at 5.30 pm because of the game being televised live, this time by BT Sport.

Swansea have a new manager in place in Paul Clement, he becomes the third full time manager this season after replacing the American Bob Bradley who was sacked four days before our away game against them this season, Alan Curtis was in temporary charge for that game.

Clement joined Swansea on the 1st January with Swansea sitting at the bottom of the Premier League, they had played 19 games and had 12 points. He brought in four players to help strengthen his new side. Luciano Narsingh a winger from PSV Eindhoven for £4 million, Martin Olsson a full-back from Norwich City for £4.5 million, midfield player Tom Caroll from Spurs for £4.5 million and Jordan Ayew from Aston Villa in a swap plus undisclosed fee which sees Neil Taylor go the other way. Jordan Ayew is the brother of a fellow forward and former Swansea player Andre Ayew who came on as a second half sub for West Ham at Dean Court last Saturday and got the equaliser for West Ham.

Swansea have lost their last three away games, their last away victory was at Anfield where they came out winners by 3-2. Their away record this year under their new manager is won 2 and lost 3. At home they have won 3 and lost 1. In their nine games they haven`t had a single draw. In the five away games they have scored in every game. This season on their travels Swansea have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 10. Swansea are in 16th position in the table after 28 games with 27 points, 3 points behind 14th place AFCB.

AFC Bournemouth Team News:

Drew Surman will be available again after a one match suspension. Slight doubt over Harry Arter with a calf injury, hopefully Junior Stanislas will be available again after being out with a groin strain.

Player to watch: Joshua King

After his performance against West Ham which finished with a hat-trick and one missed penalty it has to be Josh King again. He took all three goals well, his first goal was probably the best.

Swansea City Team News:

Angel Rangel is out with a metatarsal fracture, also out is Nathan Dyer with an achilles injury.. Two players expected to be fit for Saturday are Fernando Llorente who has a dead leg and Kyle Naughton with a hamstring injury. Martin Ollson with an ankle injury is very doubtful to be fit in time.

Player to watch: Gylfi Sigurdsson

Gylfi Sigurdsson the most consistent Swansea player, from midfield he has scored 8 goals and has a very impressive 11 assists which is the highest in the Premier League so far this season. The other player who could cause us problems if he plays is 6` 4" Fernando Llorente leading scorer for Swansea with 11 goals.
