9th August 2014
The first game of what we hope to be a successful season comes against Huddersfield, where we were beaten 5-1 last season in August with a hat-trick from James Vaughan.
Last season Huddersfield finished in 17th place, 13 points behind 10th placed Cherries.
Huddersfield Town has today completed the signing of midfielder Conor Coady from Premier League giants Liverpool.
The 21 year-old, who has captained England up to Under-20 level, arrives at 'The Yorkshire Club` for an undisclosed fee on a three year contract, with the Club having an option on a fourth season.
Player to watch for Huddersfield probably Nahki Wells in the absence of Vaughan.
Wells a prolific scorer for Bradford signed in January and made 21 Championship appearances scoring 6 goals.
Again waiting to see if Lee Camp will be fit to start in goal on Saturday, with Darryl Flahavan also a doubt it could be that Eddie Howe will start with Benji Buchel who has featured in our friendlies.
Asked by Radio Solent's Kris Temple during the Cherries fans forum in midweek if Camp would be fit in time for Saturday, Eddie Howe's simple reply was wait and see.
If he can continue where he left off last season he could be a very important player up front for us this season.
In our league encounters over the years at their ground Huddersfield have Won 8 Drawn 10 and lost 4.
Head to Head
Bournemouth wins - 12
Huddersfield Town wins - 17
Draws - 18
Last time out
As mentioned earlier this fixture resulted in a 5-1 defeat for AFC Bournemouth twelve months ago.
However the last meeting between the two came in January at Dean Court with the Cherries winning 2-1 with goals from Lewis Grabban and Tokelo Rantie.
