AFC Bournemouth return to Dean Court on Saturday after the disappointment of being knocked out of the FA Cup at the hands of Premier League side Wigan Athletic and the end of the fifteen game unbeaten run in the league at the hands of Walsall.
Tuesday nights win over Hartlepool will have quickly calmed the nerves following a blip of back to back defeats and with the Cherries in the play-off places the aim will be returning to the unbeaten form which saw the side climb through the league and into the promotion hunt.
AFC Bournemouth defender Steve Cook is available for selection despite missing training all week.
Loanee Dan Seaborne is expected to continue alongside Tommy Elphick in defence, although there are doubts over both full backs Simon Francis and Charlie Daniels.
Shaun MacDonald, Miles Addison, Darryl Flahavan, Stephen Purches and Charlie Sheringham all remain on the sidelines.
After winning his place back in the side ahead of former England international David James, Shwan Jalal will be looking to impress to keep the shirt ahead of not only James, but new signing Ryan Allsop.
Crewe defender Matt Tootle could miss the game through illness, while Gregor Robertson, Harry Davis, Abdul Osman and Ryan Colclough all face late fitness tests. Alan Martin will miss out with a foot injury.
Chuks Aneke's loan spell has ended.
24 year old Alan Martin has played the majority of games ahead of veteran 'keeper Steve Phillips this season after joining in the summer.
Last time out the pair played a half each against Bradford in the Paint Pot due to Martin injuring his foot. That injury will mean that Phillips will start against the Cherries.
Head to Head
Bournemouth wins - 14
Crewe Alexandra wins - 14
Draws - 12
Last time out
As the away fixture was recently postponed, Crewe and the Cherries meet for the first time this season at Dean Court.
The two sides haven't met since the 2009/10 season where AFC Bournemouth won both games taking all six points on route to promotion from League Two.
2nd February 2013, away at stadium:mk, 3pm.
