'If It's Football, It's Vital'

AFC Bournemouth vs. MK Dons

Dean Court

21st August 2012

7.45pm

Cherries host MK

The team from stadium:mk will become the first team to be hosted by the Cherries in the league at the newly named Goldsands Stadium.

After two away games without a win, the Cherries will be hoping to secure all three points against fellow promotion hopefuls MK.

Vital Quotes:

Franchise manager Karl Robinson told mkdons.com...

"The pressure is on them but it is also on us as well. People do talk about the fact that Bournemouth have got money but that does`t matter, you have to make sure you have to pick the right players.

"I think Bournemouth have recruited remarkably in the summer, they have brought in some excellent players. Tubbs is somebody that everybody was trying to get last year and they managed to tempt him away; Lee Barnard went under the radar when they brought him in but it`s another great signing.

"This is one of the toughest tests of our season away at Bournemouth and I am under no illusions about that."

AFC Bournemouth Team News:

The Cherries will still be without strikers Frank Demouge, Josh McQuoid and Charlie Sheringham.

Midfielders Wes Fogden, Stephen Purches and Mark Molesley are also unavailable.

Player to watch: Lee Barnard

After scoring on his Cherries debut against Portsmouth, the on loan Southampton striker will be aiming to also score on his debut at Dean Court.

MK Dons Team News:

The visitors will be without Stephen Gleeson and Antony Kay who are suspension, while Mathias Kouo-Doumbe and Shaun Williams are injured.

Player to watch: Charlie MacDonald

Former AFC Bournemouth target MacDonald moved to Milton Keynes 12 months ago and scored 11 goals last season.

MacDonald started against Cheltenham in the League Cup, but was only a substitute against Oldham.

Hopefully a win with atleast 2 goals being scored from us will cheer me up. I think Thomas should be benched so we use him as an injection of pace later on & prehaps have Tubbs start or another midfielder

....It is ALWAYS Dean Court to me!
Garbo
Yes always Dean Court. Also agree that Thomas cant keep playing if he is missing sitters. Most important of all is that Flahavan is fit and plays, we cant afford any more of Captain Calamity.

i seen the goal yesterday and it was a mistake you'd expect by a 7 yr old -.-

Whilst MK have injuries, they are a free scoring team who have added a couple of quality players to last years team. It's going to be a tight game - our defence against their attack - probably a draw.
