Preview vs. Tranmere (a)

The Cherries make the 270 mile journey to Tranmere hoping to bounce back from the home defeat to Hartlepool last Saturday.

AFC Bournemouth had returned to Dean Court off the back of two wins over Leyton Orient and Exeter, but lost their fourth consecutive home game with a late winner from Hartlepool.

Tranmere are currently eleventh in the League One table after winning three of their opening five games of the season, but in recent weeks their form has dipped one win in their last five fixtures.

Vital Quotes:

Bradbury told afcb.co.uk...

'...(Tranmere) are a good outfit at home and play good football and are a threat going forward and we will have to keep an eye on Jose Baxter who is on loan from Everton. It will be a difficult game, but one we are looking forward to.'

Tranmere Rovers Team News:

Tranmere pairing Martin Devaney and Andy Robinson have both returned to training following hamstring injuries and will face late fitness tests before the game.

Mark McChrystal will definitely miss out.

Player to watch: Jose Baxter

Jose Baxter is set to make his Prenton Park debut after joining Tranmere on loan from Everton.

The 19 year old striker scored on his debut last week against Preston.

AFC Bournemouth Team News:

AFC Bournemouth striker Jayden Stockley joined the Cherries mounting injury list after taking a knock during Tuesdays reserves game.

He joins Joe Partington, Ryan Doble, Shaun MacDonald, Mark Molesley, Nathan Byrne and Michael Symes on the sidelines.

Cherries captain Adam Barrett has been rated as 50-50.

Player to watch: Wesley Thomas

The Cherries forward could return to the lone striker role as the Cherries aim to win three away games in succession.
