Scunthorpe vs. AFCB

AFCB travel to Scunthorpe

The Cherries travel to Scunthorpe this weekend with the Cherries undefeated in their last three outings.

Scunthorpe are only 4 points ahead of Bournemouth but are comfortably in 14th place with 51 points.

Vital Quotes:

Eddie Howe told the Daily Echo 'All the players and the management were given a huge boost (Hayter signing a contract extension) when we found out because you just cannot find goalscorers like him. It is great news ahead of some difficult games.'

Scunthorpe Team News:

Scunthorpe will be missing midfielder Neil MacKenzie as he is out for the rest of the season with an ankle ligament injury.

Player to watch: Billy Sharp

The hitman has scored 20 goals so far this season and will be a threat for the Cherries back line.

AFCB Team News:

AFC Bournemouth have a few players returning to training this week.

Steven Foley went off injured at half time during the Southend game, but he returned to training today alongside Adam Griffiths, Dani Rodrigues and James Rowe.

Josh Gowling and Shaun Maher both started running outside this morning.

Player to watch: Steve Fletcher

The Big Man will be vital for this away trip, bringing strength and power to the attack. James Hayter always looks more dangerous alongside Fletch, so hopefully the big mans influence will help Hayter to fire in his 19th goal of the season.
