I think the main issue, according to statements put out by the club, was that Structadene seemed to think that increasing capacity at the South End (where Structadene have no legal authority) allowed them to add a few more noughts onto the value of this L1 standard stadium for the purpose of any buy back negotiations. I guess we will never know the truth, I just get the feeling the powers that be at our club were never really keen on doing any development to the current DC. If it means we get the big shiny new stadium instead then it will have turned out well. It will also be interesting to see what happened in the negotiations with Structadene ....what is actually going to happen to this 3 sided stadium if/when we move to a new one?

It was just an excuse about the added asking price. They can add two zeros on now if they want just like you or I could add two on to the asking price for our house. It's worth whatever price the parties agree and improving a part that they don't own doesn't necessarily add any value.
