I’ve been reminded that it is 10 years ago, since I had to put @afcbournemouth into administration, From that dreadful day, I am so proud to have played my part in taking the club from the depths of despair to the @premierleague thank you to everyone who has shared the journey

I appreciate that most on here have probably read this today and have chosen not to mention it Perhaps you've just taken it for granted.

What is the perception on here in relation to Uncle Jeff.

I think we should vote for Mostyn to leave and fund our NHS instead.

I think Mark Twain said. If you don’t read the newspaper you’re uninformed. If you read the newspaper you’re mis-informed.
Enough said.

He was there when it mattered most.
He's been very fortunate to come along for the ride since.
He's good in his current role at fronting the club to the press and the PL with all his smoozing. As long as that's the remit of his role that's fine by me. He's paid a damn pretty penny for it, but so be it.

Before we judge Jeff, we need more info on what's happening,or where we are going with the stadium etc. info which we haven't got fully yet and as he said, he has been 'part' of the success. The other 'parts ' on the ownership/ admin/money side are as relevant as he is. He is paid well of course but that
would have been the case with any in that position. At this point I think its best to look favourably at him considering where the club is this week. The only person we stand a chance of 'knowing' is Eddie and thats not really easy! Its a great ride, whatever is going on!

No long comment from me.
I know what I know about Uncle Jeff.
And that's the way it will stay.

Olly Murs likes him, and Olly never put any money in to save the club.

Right place right time,
to be fair, he guaranteed a certain amount of cash to keep things ticking over, doubt he actually spent £100k in real terms so in a nutshell he took a punt and it paid off - for what reason I dont know, but along with him, Mitchell (self serving chancer or not), and ultimately Maxim we find ourselves in the premier league,
at the end of the day it's us, the longtime supporters of the club, who'll be here long after uncle Jeff, Watkins, Barton, Swaisland, Nolan et al are long gone

He got left holding the AFCB baby and, financially, had no alternative but to carry on holding it.

Could have gone either way and he got lucky.

He's won life's lottery, good luck to the bloke.

To be fair it feels like a lottery win from a fan's perspective whenever I think about it.

Jeff got lucky - so did we.

Having had a small investment of £100 in the old AFC Bournemouth I was on the mailing list of all the financial paperwork that Krasner sent out in connection with the Administration. Mostyn was in for approx £800,000.

He was the only one who put his money where his mouth is to save the club I have supported for over 50 years. I don't begrudge him coming out of it smelling of roses. I am happy to shake his hand and live the dream.

We've done well, he's done well. What's the problem? I can only assume those that don't want him at the club are just jealous he's made a fortune.

He was there when others weren't.

Back in the dark days, he was always outside the ground before matches, talking to people - he would talk to anybody. On the occasion I spoke to him, I thought he was a nice bloke.

Anyone who has seen the footage after the win over Bolton must surely acknowledge that, even if he has "done well" out of it, he does care about the club.

He is a good PR man - the type who you want talking to public officials to get things done for you - some of these people need handling gently - Jeff is the right man for that job - rather him than Eddie Mitchell.

And finally - only Jeff Mostyn could have got away with calling the mayor of Bournemouth a scummer in public - on the open-top bus parade after winning the Championship. For that alone he has my support!

Good summary!

Who knows what really happened but surely no doubt his guarantees helped saved Afcb when Krasner could have round the club up. For that we should all be grateful.

I think for a long while he took a lot of media pressure off Eddie and is a good face of the club. Helpful to have the media on your side.

Off the pitch there have been some really bad incidents but think the club have improved a lot in this area going from L2 levels of in to a prem league business in a short space of time.
