It appears some fans ran on and made idiots of themselves but although I can't condone this, a bit rich of Millwall to have a pop at them!

Smaller clubs than Millwall musnt have any glory ,eh Mr arrisole ? Pitch invasions are part of our natural, national football heritage. Rochdale probably face Spurs next, why wouldn't they celebrate in that way?

Just heard on the radio that Pochenocups is now on Rochdale's back about their pitch not being fit enough for his Glitteratai mincers! Bloody Tinpot little upstarts eh? Why should these little S##ts dare to be on the same pond.
Maybe the game should be played at Man City's ground with 50,000 behind Rochdale.

Expect millwall’s gripe is that the media tolerate other clubs’ pitch invasions and taunting of fans as exuberance but if Millwall did this they would be slaughtered by the media.

...probably because they're largely a bunch of knuckle draggers who take any excuse to cause violence.

In any pitchie there will be two kids who will try and wind up the opposition, Millwall would be throwing missiles like every game we've played against them in the last decade.

Years ago, back at the old Dean Court there was a 'bomb scare' during the game. All spectators had to go onto the pitch and wait there. Many of us reckoned that it was because the pitch was cutting up and all of us on it would flatten it out a bit!

I ripped my flares climbing back over those railings at the South end after the bomb scare- can't remember which game though! Went to Chelsea village disco that night with my own air conditioning!

I remember the "bomb scare"
The match was against Southport about 1976. We were losing until somebody made that phone call.
When the match restarted most fans from the South End went up the Brighton Beach End and witnessed a great comeback.
Happy days.

Not everyone was happy retro - I was only young and we use to frequent the BBE - were we always got prime spot behind the goal (Kevin Charlton was the keeper that day I think) - not happy at the re-start when we had to put up with all the extras from the South End - we did get to play with our tennis ball in the goal during the bomb scare - AFCB were 0-2 down early , then 1-3 before pulling it back to 3-3 though Southport hardly won a game that year and exited the league I think
