Hi there,

I am a 4th year Sports Management student at Bournemouth University, and am looking to interview long term supporters of AFCB for my dissertation study.

The study centres around how the fans believe the club has changed in the last decade or so, and how they as supporters have been affected by this growth; hence why long-term supporters are needed.

The interviews will be around 15-20 minutes and will take place in an environment that is suitable for you. All information shared will be kept completely confidential, as stated in the documents that each participant will have to sign before their interview.

If you are interested / have any questions please contact me on my email - i7204687@bournemouth.ac.uk

I really hope you guys can help, and can share your opinions with me.

Thank you for your time

Ted Thomson

You’ll find many long term supporters here...there are even a few that go as far back as when we were in the Championship!

I’d be happy to take part, although I only started watching soccer and supporting Bournemouth FC last month. The environment that would best suit me would be somewhere like FYEO though I couldn’t guarantee that you’d have my undivided attention for 15-20 minutes.

Would also suit a dissertation in sarcasm, as you will no doubt find out.

Those before Jeff Mostyn will have added views to those after. Is this your decade or so cut off point?

Define long term might help? Those who supported in 1970’s I envy as didnt find may way until early80’s, all those wasted years of childhood only watching occasionally on tv...

I think the idea of a gagging order is not necessarily a good one. If you are promising to keep material confidential should not be the interviewee be given a document promising the same, signed by you ?

My first game was in 1963 - but I live in London and don't give interviews!? Good luck with the dissertation.

What I want to know is, how come a student in 2018 has a retro-name like Ted Thomson ? You sound like you should have been a goalkeeper in the 1950s. Or if you changed it slightly to Teddy Thomson, a 50s style lounge crooner.
