The reason we won that game. They kept battling whilst Stoke hammered into tackles and held the midfield area. Gosling and Cook kept their nerve and their cool. Once Stoke's intensity slipped just a tad, they up the gear and took control.

Finally all our creative players were given a platform to do their stuff, thanks to that central midfield duo.

Based on how he drove the team forward in the second half, I think we are getting an early glimpse of our next captain. Captain Cook has a nice ring to it.

One can anticipate the big money offers rolling in for him in the Summer.

Both myself and R.House esq. rated him very highly even before he signed. tbh I can see him going another World Cup in the summer.

Gosling has a great engine, if you look back at the last couple of seasons some people may be surprised how many games we’ve one he’s started in, Stanislas too.

Shame mousset got mom today. Cook deserved that or gosling who did well. Cook just keeps us going forward with neat forward passes to cut through lines of defence. A must for the World Cup squad surely?

Little Cookie and Gos were awesome today.
We need to write to Joslyn Builders and tell them to watch the game more closely in future

When we signed Cook (and Ake) I remember thinking that they’ll both outgrow us before long. Little Cookie is superb, really one hell of a footballer.

I can understand when they give it to a player that was uld benefit from the confidence boost more - and Mousset did play well.

Then again Lewis was clearly MoM and it is his 21st birthday today so they should have given it to him.

I thought they were great in the second half. Completely outmuscled in the first half
