Bit disappointed with his parting comments considering he's still under contract here. He'll definitely be off in the summer.

Agreed. Burning bridges very publicly and - by implication - privately too. No way back with Eddie you'd think.

It's strange really; he seems to be a really nice guy, and intelligent too, he has the perfect temperament for an EH player, and always has time for the fans too. Yet that's two clubs in a row that he has left in somewhat fiery circumstances.

Also I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the times when he publicly showed his disgust at being substituted by EH, even though he would be having a terrible game or just not making any effort.

Nice guy he may be according to some on her, but the guy appears to be a bit of a snowflake.

However good luck to him at Wolves. It would be great if he came back a better player through game time.

Afobe had lot's of faults but there's no doubt we were better with him in the side last year. I'm sure someone posted some stats showing that he was our most effective player. Add that to his crucial goals in the first season he was here and it's clear he was a decent signing.

This is totally wrong (apart from the lot of faults comment).

Some people bang on that he made an "impact". However we had no-one else at the time to take his place who would 100% have made more of an "impact".

Of course he managed to get some goals for us as that was his position. It does not excuse his poor control, failure to put away clear open chances, and above all his clear lack of effort and apparent lazyness.

Add to that the fact that he would never walk off substituted gracefully, clearly showing his annoyance, this in turn annoyed a hell of a lot of people.

Well i've been a critic of Mousset tbh but i'm glad it was him that came on today instead of Afobe.....so much more energy....thats the thing...so many times Afobe came on and immediately looked knackered.

I don't think anyone genuinely expects players to feel like supporters about a club but it is possible to leave one club for another and come across in your attitude towards both with a bit of class.

Well with him gone it’s one less player for you to whinge about I suppose...

Who gives a sh*t how he walks off the pitch? I seriously wonder why people get so upset by players not showing 100% love for the club or, heaven forbid, they don't like getting subbed or not being in the side.

King and Afobe together were the reason we stayed up it's as simple as that. You are obviously in the same school as Neil and others that point out that signing Afobe meant that we missed out on signing an unnamed but guaranteed world player of the year, but we didn't - We signed Afobe and he did the job we needed.

In terms of attacking players (wingers, forwards, attacking midfielders)

Statistically in 15/16 he was better than Grabbs and Murray but worse than Tomlin, Wilson, Pugh, King, Gradel, Ritchie, Stanislas. Rated 6.44

In 16/17 he was better than Ibe and Mousset but worse than Wilson, Fraser, Pugh, Wilshire, Stanislas and King. Rated 6.49

This season he's better than nobody and worse than Mousset, Pugh, Defoe, Fraser, Stanislas, Ibe, King and Wilson. Rated 6.19

If you think I'm going to tell you he was in Wolverhampton before #afcb had agreed to his move then you are very much mistaken.

Beniks interview very much made it sound like the deal was off and on several times through the day, he also uploaded an Instagram story that related to Wolves before it was official
