Damn! I hope Defoe doesn't suffer any complications in his recovery. Although, I suppose given the current formation we only need to start one striker.

With letting Afobe go out on loan,i wonder if it means Defoe is going to be back sooner than expected.

We’ve already got Wilson, mousset, king, and Defoe who can play the number 9 role. I’m not sure loaning Afobe for 5 months puts us in any danger and it may help him regain his confidence and scoring touch.

Maybe we have recalled Sturridge that was rumoured should Grabban and Afobe go. All that aside I hope Afobe finds some form at Wolves

It's Surridge and I doubt he is ready for the Premier League just yet but I totally agree about Benik, he is going to be an absolute legend somewhere, I just wish it was here.

On a side note, has anybody flipped over their AFCB calendar this morning ? I have a feeling that the two gentlemen featured will never play for the first team again.

Auto correct - I agree just saying earlier in the week it was said that he may get recalled if needed.

Substantial fee and paying all his wages according to Sky.

Still quite surprised considering after Wilson, it's King who has had injuries lately, Defoe who is still injured and then Mousset.

I'm sure he wants to play more football, but right now it leaves us a little thin.

Not sure it really needs the "I'm home" comments and a video of him scoring against us on Instagram either.

Well all the best then Benik. He is a nice chap, a good guy. He showed gainst Wigan what a shell of a player he had become so I hope a change of scenery and role puts the spring back in his step and a smile back on his face.

I need to find yet another new favourite player. In recent years I've gone for Pitman, O'Kane and Afobe. Each one became the boo-boy target and left. I'm a jinx.

Good luck Benik. Unfortunately he is half the player he was when he arrived. Unlike others who have been out on loan, I think a decent run of games decent form could do the trick for him. If that's the case I hope whatever fall out he's had with EH can be mended.

I like Benik but as other said his confidence is shot. If we do get injuries then we can play Ibe and stanislas more advanced. Means we are a small team without him.

but in my opinion a better team without him.

When we signed him his goals were pivitol in helping us stay up the first season, but 2 seasons later he just suit the way we play. We have to have a guy who is willing to press high up the pitch and for Wilson and King this is them

I've heard Brad Smith's a lovely bloke, excellent footballer and appropriate use of transfer funds...

The deal should work out for both parties... Afobe gets regular minutes on the park, and hopefully sharpens himself up, and we get a lump of dosh for someone else doing that for us...

Personally I think Wolves will offer on him if he starts banging them in... I don't see he has a future at DC unfortunately... Always thought he did so much more than just score... (albeit the goals have dried up)...

Seemed to have all his goalscorer's instinct sucked out of him... Good luck to the lad and I hope he starts banging them in for Wolves...
