I thought Gosling did pretty well again. He has a knack for breaking up play and starting moves that's a little different to Arter's Roy of the Rovers heroics/vanishes out of shot on the tv broadcast because he totally miscues the tackle.

Been looking at their forums and the opinion is quite divided - some want him out and some blame it on the players (such as them saying they play like they did under Unsworth and Koeman)

They did say we deserve to win, and of course we deserved to win, dominant performance by us.

Good performance. Keep playing like that and like in the West Ham match and you know someone will get a real beating sooner or later. Great to see us playing well in our own style again. More please!

Bloody hell we worked hard for that.

As ever our defence does something absolutely and utterly moronic. Has, has to be addressed.

But aside from that we keep going, we work hard, and we have some tricky players in attack. Fraser is coming back into a purple patch and that usually wins us a few points every season.

Just sort that flippin defence out Eddie. A touch of fortune today shouldn't disguise problems.

But the main takeaway is that our squad are fighting, and relegated sides generally don't fight like that. We'll just about be ok, but with a few tweaks we could make it easier on ourselves

Fantastic result and a very good performance. Was interesting to see Eddie switch Smith and Francis around briefly when Lennon swapped wings. Another three points on New Year’s Day and I’m sure everyone will be feeling better about it all!

WHAt a game!
Fraser (who I think now deserves the nickname “the Laser”) was incredible. Best game since Liverpool in Oct 2016.
Smith had his best game of the season. Was on fire and looked very comfortable at LB. one example: for the winning goal, Smith got manhandled and normally would have gone down trying to draw a foul - he fought to keep his feet, played the ball forward, and the Laser cut through the soft toffee to find the back of the net.
Francis also played great. For much of the game he was basically an extra right winger, making some great runs and playing some crosses that ought to have been converted (Callum should have scored from one of them).
Arter was full of energy when he came on and disrupted any ideas Everton may have had of starting anything.
Ibe did lose the ball a few times but was marauding all over their box and was unlucky to hit the post.
Ake is Ake and again had a fantastic game.
King was doing great until the injury. Hoping he’s back soon!
Afobe has a knack for coming g on as a sub, getting himself into fantastic scoring situations, and then missing. But he does help in our build up and thought he didn’t well overall.
Looking forward to Brighton!
