Broady set for medicial at Hereford

Former Cherries Captain Karl Broadhurst is set for a medical with League Two Hereford United.

Broadhurst and Hereford have agreed a deal in principle and the move will be made official once Broadhurst passes his medicial.

Broadhurst was released by Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond at the end of last season after nine years at Dean Court.

The 27 year old played 227 times for the Cherries (17 from the bench) and notably captained the side to victory against Premiership side Blackburn Rovers in the League cup.

Good luck to him, i think he could of been an excellent player if injuries had not hit him so hard in recent years

im not 100% sure but think it is to do with the ground originally being built on or near to a cherry orchard.

Excellent news for Karl. Hope he passes the medical....

Fresh challenge should do him good. Strange though how he was the one singled out by KB soon after he arrived as the player with the right attitude/commitment etc
