Francis: I would love to stay involved with AFCB

AFC Bournemouth captain Simon Francis has revealed that he would like to stay with the Cherries beyond his playing career.

The 33 year old has been working on his UEFA B licence, alongside defensive team-mates Steve Cook and Charlie Daniels.

Whilst midfielders Harry Arter, Dan Gosling, Andrew Surman, Junior Stanislas and striker Callum Wilson have also been in the classroom.

Francis joined the Cherries from Charlton Athletic in 2012 and has played over 250 times for AFC Bournemouth, playing a key role in both the promotion from League One in 2013 and from the Championship in 2015.

Francis told the Daily Echo...

"First and foremost, after I have finished playing, I would love to stay in the game in some capacity.

"This club is great with its former players. You see them in and around the club coaching all the way down the age groups.

"If I could stay involved in the club somehow, whether that`s coaching, the recruitment side, scouting or anything, I would love to.

"Hopefully, not too soon though!"

0 interesting to see what happens at the end of this season...judging by recent articles about him I would hazard a guess that he may be nearing the end of his first team appearances?
