'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Change of shape, Change of fortune

Cheltenham Town manager John Ward has spoken about AFC Bournemouth's recent form.

Ahead of the relegation six pointer tomorrow, Ward told their official site...

'...'Bournemouth have got four wins out of six. Kevin Bond has taken over as manager and they are beginning to make some good progress. The last few games will have been a boost to them but he will also be aware that we have had only one defeat in seven. Bournemouth have changed their shape a bit since Kevin has been there and last week they had a fantastic 5-0 win over Leyton Orient. There is a big game and a good game in prospect at Whaddon Road on Saturday.

'We've not been so good away from home in terms of results as we have been at Whaddon Road so it's important to try and win the home games, especially because that's where the majority of our support is and where the majority of our finance comes from. But we are encouraged by the win at Bristol City and the win over Swansea. The one thing about those games is that they are self-motivating. We have to make sure that Bournemouth at home, Tranmere away and Carlisle at home are in the same mood and we have to be motivated in the same manner.'
