Injury list looking critical!

Injury list looking critical!

AFC Bournemouth strikers Jermain Defoe and Benik Afobe along with midfielder Harry Arter have been added to the Cherries bulging injury list.

Following the defeat to Liverpool, AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe confirmed that there was a concern regarding both Charlie Daniels and Joshua King following the game.

Whilst ahead of kick off, striker Callum Wilson had an injection in his knee. Whilst sounding bad, especially considering Wilson's history with knee problems, the Cherries believe it is only a short term problem for Wilson.

But it wasn't so clear on how severe it was for Daniels, who had suffered a hamstring injury and for King who has a groin injury.

Against Chelsea, Defoe was forced off with an ankle injury and Harry Arter had a calf problem.

Howe told afcb.co.uk...

'Jermain [Defoe] looks like he`s got some damage to his ankle ligaments, it was a nasty tackle. I haven`t seen it back, but I didn`t think it was a red card and my gut was that it was a yellow. However, we lost Jermain and that`s going to be a big blow.

'Harry [Arter] then felt his calf in the second half and we also have a number of players at home with knocks and injuries.

Meanwhile Simon Francis, Steve Cook and Harry Arter are walking a suspension tightrope with any of the trio facing a ban if they pick up a yellow card against Manchester City on Saturday.
