Howe: Arter needs his fire back

Howe: Arter needs his fire back

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has urged Cherries midfielder Harry Arter to rediscover his fire.

The Republic Of Ireland midfielder has recently lost his place in the Cherries midfield to England Under 21's International Lewis Cook.

Arter last played for AFC Bournemouth in November against Burnley, which was his 250th appearance for the Cherries.

But he has missed the recent games against Southampton and Crystal Palace due to his lack of form.

Howe told the Daily Echo...

"I think getting that fire back is absolutely everything to Harry.

"When I picture him at his best he is covering every blade of grass, fighting for every loose ball and is a real driving force for the team.

"We need him back at his best because he is a difference-maker for us. He is an energiser within the group and, when he is playing well, he drives a team forward.

"All those qualities we need and we need them now. We are looking for him to get back to his best form as quickly as possible."

I`m just desperate for Harry to find some form again. Arter, Surman and Cook would make a decent midfield if they can work together.

Something isn`t right with Harry this season though....
