Howe: Good advert for the Premier League
AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believed that the Cherries and near neighbours Southampton created a good advert for the Premier League at Dean Court on Sunday.
The Cherries had initially taken the lead through Ryan Fraser, before that strike was cancelled out during the second half via a Charlie Austin goal.
The game, in the main, was played at a good tempo with both sides trying to win the fixture.
It was in stark contrast to the performance where AFC Bournemouth had lost to Burnley just a few days before.
Howe told afcb.co.uk...
'...It was a good advert for the Premier League I felt as both teams went to attack, it was end-to-end and both teams tried their best to get three points.
'After (the game against Burnley), there was a totally different feel about it, we worked their goalkeeper regularly, something we haven`t done number of times this season.
Entertaining match, Lewis looked good in midfield, especially first half, every time he has it opportunities seem to open up in front of him, he has that vision. We were more creative than of late. Draw just about a fair result. We had our chances, that Ake header first half, how did that not go in? Apart from a 20 min spell after half time, I thought we were the better team. Shame that Austin had to score, he doesn't look fit to me! - Join the conversation here.
