West Ham interest in Arter

West Ham interest in Arter

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter could be a potential target for West Ham United during the January transfer window.

According to a report in the Mirror...

'Bournemouth`s Harry Arter is a potential target as West Ham want to strengthen in midfield rather than up front.'

New West Ham United manager David Moyes, according to an insinuation in the report at least, could be looking to fund the move by selling '£25million flop Marko Arnautovic in January'.

The report went on to add...

'Moyes is an admirer of 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international Arter, who only signed a new four-year deal in July.

Arter was a trainee at Charlton before an Achilles injury ended his hopes of joining a Football League club when he was released.

He went on to join then sixth-tier side Woking and opted to join AFC Bournemouth in 2010 for a reported fee of £4,000.

He has played an instrumental part in two promotion campaigns, the first in 2013 when the Cherries won promotion from the third tier and two years later he was voted player of the season as the Cherries were promoted to the top flight of English football for the first time in the clubs history.

Arter has thus far made 247 appearances for AFC Bournemouth.
