Howe: There is no pecking order
AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insists that there is no pecking order for places amongst his Cherries squad.
Howe was broadly talking about team selection for his entire match day squad, but was also discussing the current battle for the AFC Bournemouth goalkeeping position.
Boruc has recently been displaced as AFC Bournemouth number one by new signing Asmir Begovic.
Australian international Adam Federici and England Under 19's goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale are also in the group of goalkeepers working with the first team, whilst Ryan Allsop has gone out on loan to Blackpool.
Howe told the Daily Echo...
'Artur was very mature about the situation. He understands the situation - there was no massive surprise for him, I don't think.
'We had conversations in the lead up to the final decision being made.
'..Whether it's goalkeeper, centre-forward or midfielder, you pick what you think your best team for that game is with the information you have.
'I don't think there can be a pecking order because it changes so quickly and you always want players to change your opinion - that's what training and opportunities are for - a window for players to stake their claim to play.'
I'm surprised no one is standing up for Artur Boruc.
As far as I know it suppose to be competition between at least 2 or 3 guys .
I am wondering , is there a fixed number of losses in order to change goaltender? - Join the conversation here.
