Forest interest in Federici

Forest interest in Federici

AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Adam Federici could be set to leave the south coast for Championship side Nottingham Forest.

Federici has made just 17 appearances for the Cherries, including 8 Premier League appearances.

He has been firmly second choice behind Artur Boruc since making the move to Dean Court.

The recent signing of Asmir Begovic from Chelsea for a reported fee in the region of £8-10million will see Federici drop further down the pecking order, putting his AFC Bournemouth future in doubt.

Ryan Allsop has already joined League One side Blackpool on a season long loan, whilst the Cherries also have England Under 19's goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in contention.

According to a report in the Nottingham Post...

Forest are 'understood to be monitoring the position of Federici, who has found himself down the pecking order with the Cherries, behind Artur Boruc and Asmir Begovic'.

Federici has previously been linked with a return to his native Australia (click here).

A-League salaries are substantially lower than FL, as there are salary caps, except for a team's designated 'marquee player '
Adam would take this into account in his decision to remain, move elsewhere in FL, or return to Australia.
