Cherries linked with Bristol City midfielder

AFC Bournemouth have been linked with their ninth and tenth potential summer target and silly season hasn't even started yet.

Usually 'silly season' begins in the summer, following the conclusion of the football season.

But whilst AFC Bournemouth's status in the Premier League has been maintained for a third season, the current campaign is not yet over with the final day of the season against Premier League champions Leicester City set to determine whether or not AFC Bournemouth can finish their second season in the top flight of English football in the top half of the table.

However, the Cherries have already been linked with ten potential summer targets.

Chelsea quartet John Terry, Asmir Begovic, Kasey Palmer and Nathan Ake have all been linked, as have Liverpool duo Joe Gomez and Ryan Kent.

Anderlecht winger Frank Acheampong and Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe have all previously been linked.

The latest two are Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill via the Bristol Post and from French newspaper L'equipe Dijon striker Loïs Diony.

21 year old Brownhill joined from Preston North End on a free contract and has impressed this season in his 32 appearances in all competitions.

The Post reported...

'the likes of Burnley, Brighton, AFC Bournemouth and Swansea are in the running for the ex-Manchester United youngster.'

24 year old Diony has scored 11 goals in 34 French Ligue 1 appearances this season and has reported interest in France from Bordeaux, Lille, Toulouse, Saint-Étienne, Nice and Monaco.

According to the report by the French newspaper, AFC Bournemouth has made him one of their main targets this summer, whilst Dijon to receive between €10million and €15million.
