Cherries to offer £230,000 a week to duo?

AFC Bournemouth are reportedly set to offer deals to Chelsea captain John Terry and Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe.

The duo are expected to leave their respected clubs in the summer.

John Terry will lift the Premier League title on Sunday with Chelsea, but it has already been announced that he will leave the club after 19 years, 490 appearances, 5 Premier League titles and 1 UEFA Champions League winners medal.

Jermain Defoe could leave Sunderland following their relegation to the Championship.

The former England striker has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave on a free transfer following their relegation.

The Mirror have reported that...

'Bournemouth offer mega money deals to John Terry and Jermain Defoe as Cherries close on experience duo'

The report added that 36 year old Terry 'has been offered a two year contract worth around £130,000-a-week with a big signing-on fee', whilst 34 year old Defoe 'has also been offered a two year deal in excess of £100,000-a-week and it is understood there is an option to extend it.'.

Don't think we will offer anywhere near 100k a week, never mind 130k!

Also cannot see us offering out 2 year deals to either of them - imagine it would be 1 years with options.
