Cherries win two on the bounce

A Darren Anderton first half free kick was enough to secure Bournemouth the three points.

The Cherries had plenty of chances to double the lead, but Pitman and Fletcher couldn't find the target.

The best chance to seal the win fell to James Hayter but his penalty was well saved by the Brentford shot stopper.

In the end Bournemouth relied on a succession of Neil Moss saves to earn them the three points.

Another '6 pointer' against Crewe next Saturday, a win could put us 6 places clear of relegation! I really enjoyed the game despite the weather and I think that Kevin Bond is finally getting to grips with management. His formation and team selection is such an improvement of his first couple of months here. WE ARE STAYING UP!

Not a very convincing result against a side playing so badly and not winning at all thouh is it?!
Tierney
3 points is 3 points.

Some might say that our change in form coincided perfectly with the return of a certain Sir Marcus of Browning to the team... ;)

I thought the performance was convincing, the goals will come thick and fast as the confidence improves.
Tieger
i agree, a positive last two game

The next 3 games are so important - winning will get us right away from the bottom 4, drawing will help but losing will see us right back in the deep brown runny stuff!
bmb
just think - we still have Wazza to come back! Hurrah!
