Hodges: Trip will bring squad closer together

AFC Bournemouth Head of Sports Science Dan Hodges believes the Austrian training camp will be good preparation for the squad.

The Cherries squad, along with three new signings (Dan Gosling, Junior Stanislas and Callum Wilson) headed off to Austria on Monday for the training camp in Bad Waltersdorf.

The Cherries will train all week and then end the camp with the sides first pre-season friendly against FC Copenhagen on Friday.

Hodges told afcb.co.uk...

"Austria has some great facilities...'

"...The pitches are really nice and the hotel is lovely so it`s a good opportunity to get the lads away, and a bit of team bonding can go on.

"We are in a hotel and we are not away too long - six days with a game in there as well, so it`s a good chance to get some fitness work done and some football-work into them.

"It will hopefully bring them closer together as a team as well."
