'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Willo: Plan is to push for the play-offs

Former AFC Bournemouth defender and coach John Williams believes the Cherries will target a chase for the Championship play-offs next season.

AFC Bournemouth returned to England's second tier last season for the first time in 20 years and went on to set a new club record finish of tenth place, flirting with a challenge for the top six in the process.

BBC Radio Solent commentator John 'Willo' Williams believes the Cherries can push for another top 10 finish in 2014/15 and hopes the side can replicate some of the free flowing football Eddie Howe's side produced during the last campaign.

Willo told afcb.co.uk...

"I would imagine the plan is to push for the play-offs, But if we ended up staying in the league and the players manage to produce some of the football they did last season, then I`m sure the supporters would be happy...'

"...It might be difficult to see some of the heights we saw last season again.

"We were very lucky to see some spectacular football and I`ve never seen anything like some of what we saw at Dean Court before...
