Cherries confirm Gosling signing

Cherries confirm Gosling signing

AFC Bournemouth have confirmed the signing of Newcastle United midfielder Dan Gosling.

The Premier League side released the 24 year old on Thursday and as previously reported, Gosling has agreed a four year deal with the Cherries.

The deal will be finalised once the transfer window opens on 1st July, subject to the completion of a medical.

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe was delighted to complete his first signing of the summer and believes that Gosling will provide good energy and experience to the Cherries midfield alongside Harry Arter and Eunan O'Kane.

Howe told the afcb.co.uk...

"We have been speaking with Dan and his representative for a while and were always very keen to bring him here, He did very well on loan at Blackpool and ended the season in the team at Newcastle. That Premier League experience will be invaluable to us and we are very pleased to have got him.

"He is a box-to-box central midfielder who has lots of energy. He is very good technically and also has a goal in him.

"He is an attack-minded player who can do all disciplines of the game so I think he will complement our team very well.'
