Elphick: Everyone is pulling in the same direction

AFC Bournemouth captain Tommy Elphick is excited about seeing just how far the Cherries can go this season.

The main target for this Championship campaign was to consolidate the clubs new position following promotion last season.

With the Cherries victory over Leeds United on Tuesday night, AFC Bournemouth are now 20 points clear of the relegation places with just eight games remaining.

The Cherries fifth win in seven games has seen the side continue to climb the table, from 17th at the start of this month to 10th, just 7 points off the Championship play-off places.

Elphick told afcb.co.uk...

"When we haven`t been winning, and even when we have been winning, we have always approached it with the same mentality day in day out and that`s with hard work and togetherness, Everyone is pulling in the same direction and that`s been the case throughout. It`s been a constant theme.

"We are just taking each game as it comes. We will analyse this one and then get a game plan together for Birmingham on Thursday and Friday.

"It`s an exciting time and if we can keep winning, who knows."
