Howe: Coulibaly is a talent

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe was pleased to give Cherries attacker Mohamed Coulibaly a brief run out against Doncaster Rovers last weekend.

The summer signing from Grasshoppers came on for the final seven minutes of the 5-0 victory, ending a run of 22 weeks without an appearance.

He had previously impressed many during his short spell in the side, taking the man of the match award for the pre-season exhibition friendly against Real Madrid.

However since his last appearance in September against Blackburn Rovers, Coulibaly has struggled with Achilles and calf problems.

The Senegalese winger has previously been out to Rome for treatment, whilst the Cherries backroom staff have worked on a new schedule to get him fit.

Howe told the Daily Echo...

"We were pleased to give him some minutes because he has worked really hard at his rehabilitation and really hard to come back in good physical shape.

"He was arguably one of our best players during pre-season and we feel he is a talent. It will be good now to give him a chance and, hopefully, he can increase his match fitness as time goes on."
