Cook: We defended from the front

AFC Bournemouth defender Steve Cook praised the entire team following the Cherries first clean sheet in two months.

The Cherries kept just their fifth clean sheet of the season against Doncaster Rovers and their first since the Boxing Day victory over Yeovil Town.

Four of those five clean sheets have come at home at Dean Court, with the only clean sheet coming away from home also coming against Doncaster Rovers.

But whilst the defence and goalkeeper are usually the ones praised for clean sheets, Cook was quick to recognise the effort from Lewis Grabban and the Cherries midfield.

Cook told the Daily Echo...

'...I thought that from the front we defended as a team. Grabbs (Lewis Grabban) up front and Harry Arter and Andy Surman in the middle were absolutely terrific.

"They didn`t have any chances at all and that comes from the front and the way we put them under pressure.

"We didn`t give them chances to put the ball into the box or play long to their target man and that was because of our work rate as a team."
