Cherries Away Days: Bolton

Cherries Away Days: Bolton

Ahead of AFC Bournemouth's trip to Bolton on Saturday for our Championship clash, AFCB Vital spoke to Craig from Vital Bolton to give us a little preview of what to expect.

Any tips on getting to and from the ground?

Parking is at a premium, apart from the ground car park, but that fills quickly..

Having said that, I can't see there being a bumper home crowd so you may get lucky.

The train station isn't far away from the ground so that would be my choice- apart from the away coach.

Where are the best places for a pre-match drink for away supporters?

Most of the retail park bars are home fans only, with bouncers keeping it so.

The Beehive near the ground is an option for away fans though, and the Bromilow Arms and the Barnstormers 10 minutes walk from the ground are open to visitors, too.

What is your ground like for away supporters?

The ground is pretty good for the away support, from what I hear. Especially if you're hoping to take some league points down south with you. The Wanderers have been very hospitable this season...

Who is your player to watch?

Honestly, we haven't got a 'player to watch'.

None of our squad are performing this season and with Jermaine Beckford injured, our top scorer is a full-back. Tough times...

Do you have any injury concerns ahead of the game?

Our injury concerns are long-termers.

Our talisman, Stuart Holden has only just started training again so definitely won't feature and our left-back, Marc Tierney's foot remains injured.

What are your predictions for this game and the rest of the season?

In normal situations we'd be expecting to turn you boys over, especially at home, but these aren't normal situations.

Bolton Wanderers are a mess, on and off the field and you couldn't be playing us at a better time. If we finish 4th from bottom I will be delighted!

He's either morbidly depressed or is pulling a fast-one.

Apparently Craig's real name is José Mourinho ....he can spin a yarn too - for the opposing team to get tangled in. Beware those who talk themselves down!!

EH "Ok lads, I've heard from my sources that Bolton are not very good. So lets have the rest of the week off andI'll meet you all at 10am for the Breakfast in the Bolton Weatherspoons. Pughy, I want you to nip down the left and sort me out a large breakfast - no mushrooms but with an extra egg, for my face later".
