Cherries scrap director of football role

AFC Bournemouth have scrapped Tom Mitchell's director of football role at Dean Court.

The son of former Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell will remain as a director of the club, but stands down from his role as director of football.

However according to the Daily Echo following the youth team restructuring which saw the departure of Paul Groves and Shaun Brooks, Mitchell will become manager of youth football operations.
