Swindon make third approach for Thomas

Swindon Town have made a third approach for AFC Bournemouth striker Wes Thomas.

In August, the League One side made one bid reported to be in the region of 125,000 whilst a second bid designed to 'test Bournemouth`s resolve' was also submitted and later rejected before the transfer window closed.

Cherries manager Eddie Howe had already stated that Wes Thomas was not for sale as he had started the opening games of the season.

But since then, with Lewis Grabban finding excellent form and the purchase of club record signing Tokelo Rantie, Thomas has slipped back down the pecking order.

The Swindon Advertiser have reported that Swindon chairman Lee Power has confirmed that Swindon have made an approach for a striker but 'declined to comment on his identity.'

I hope this is true, it's a miracle that anyone wants to spend money to get him

One man's beer is another man's Champagne. ( Or maybe it should be "person" not "man" ). Players are hot in one club and then cold in another and this is the case with Wes. Good luck to him whether he stays or goes.

. . WES will slot in and find his form again at some other club. . . He did well at Portsmouth. . . . HE is a good athlete
RED LETTER DAY
All of the above true. He was wanted by Pompey so no surprise that Swindon are head hunting. I hope that it works out for them both. I don't think he is of the quality we are looking for which beggars belief me saying that, we have come so far since just a few seasons ago where he would have been made very welcome then! This season we don't need nearly men. I hope that we get someone to get Rantie going very soon (He has had modest chances to show his worth but it's clear that someone perhaps just saw stars in their eyes, Bafana Bafana and all of that!), or else he is for the chop for sure! Be good to buy someone a but special or perhaps a four star general.....we shall wait and see!
