Grabban: Good to get back to winning ways

AFC Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban celebrated returning to the Cherries starting line up with a goal against Reading.

The Cherries top scorer, who scored seven goals during his first eleven appearances of the season, had missed AFC Bournemouth's last home game against Brighton and Hove Albion through illness and had returned as a substitute against QPR on Tuesday night.

Grabban returned to the starting line up to work the lone striker role and scored his first goal in seven outings to give AFC Bournemouth the lead on route to a hard fought 2-1 victory.

Grabban told afcb.co.uk...

"It was good to get back to winning and get some points on the board, We got two goals at the end of the first half and it was a good time to capitalise on the pressure that we had created, so that was important for us.

"I thought the back four did well and we controlled the game in large periods in midfield, so I thought that outweighed anything they could throw at us in the second half.

"We had some good chances and maybe we were unlucky not to get a third, but we had the two goals and we just had to keep it tight and see the game out."
