'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Camp: I am in the shop window

West Bromwich Albion 'keeper Lee Camp has not ruled out the possibility of joining the Cherries on a permanent basis next month.

Last month Lee Camp extended his loan spell with AFC Bournemouth until 1st January.

Camp initially joined the Cherries on a 28 day loan spell from the Premier League club on 31st October, but that deal was later extended ahead of the loan window closing.

The 29 year old shotstopper made the move to Dean Court boasting a huge amount of first team experience, with almost four hundred first team appearances for the likes of Derby County, Queens Park Rangers, Nottingham Forest and West Brom, while last season he also made three appearances for Norwich City in the Premier League.

He joined West Brom on transfer deadline day signing a rolling monthly contract until January as cover for Ben Foster, but failed to make an appearance before his loan to Dean Court.

So far he has made five appearances for Eddie Howe's side and Camp is currently very happy on the south coast.

Camp told the Daily Echo...

"We are where we are. I think my loan and my contract run out the same day. We have got a busy period of games with some big fixtures coming up, a lot of winnable fixtures, so the focus is fully on that...'

'...I am here. That is how I look at it. If I wasn`t open to coming here, I would have had an easy life at West Brom for a couple more months and done a bit of training and grabbed a coffee in the afternoon. But that is not in my nature.

"I am in the shop window and who knows, Bournemouth may offer first dibs on me. I am enjoying my time, I like the manager, I like the staff and I like the place, so there are a lot of positives."

Lee is quality and everyone knows this ...... to come here permanently would be a great bonus for the club. Allsop would be a good understudy for him and would learn from Lee's experience. Having watched Lee he has made no mistakes from what I can remember and made a number of vital high quality saves. The door is open I guess, just a matter of if Lee wants to come.
