AFC Bournemouth defender Steve Cook hopes the Dean Court faithful will stick with the team as they continue to adapt to life in the Championship.
The Cherries were soundly beaten by Blackburn Rovers at Dean Court on Saturday, with the first half performance in particular causing some sections of the supporters to announce their displeasure at the half time scoreline of 3-0.
The AFCB Vital forum has also seen supporters raise their concerns regarding the sides current tactics and style, following a fourth defeat of the season.
But despite the negativity from some supporters, the Cherries remain in the top half of English football's second tier, just five points behind the play-off places and Cook is targeting six points from the matches against Leeds United and Millwall to put the Cherries in a strong position heading into the next international break.
Cook told the Daily Echo...
"...It is frustrating for the supporters. They work hard and pay their hard-earned money to watch us play well and we didn't perform on Saturday, so I feel for them. But when you look at how well we have done and how far we have come, it is not all going to go right and we are going to get games like that.
"We are a team. We stick by each other and, hopefully, the fans will stick by us. We want to go into the international break with two wins and show what we are all about. It is going to be difficult - it is a difficult league - but we are more than good enough to be successful.
"It is a great club, a family club, and we appreciate the supporters turning out. There was a great crowd on Saturday and they have to buy into the way we want to play."
