Elphick: Real Madrid is a massive occasion

AFC Bournemouth captain Tommy Elphick insists that while the match against Real Madrid is a 'massive occasion' it is still only part of the Cherries pre-season schedule.

The Cherries face non-league side Poole Town on Thursday before a weekend double header which sees the Cherries travel to Woking on Saturday, before hosting nine time European Champions Real Madrid on Sunday.

Elphick admits that there is a large amount of excitement around the dressing room ahead of the visit of Cristiano Ronaldo and co.

Elphick told afcb.co.uk...

"...Ever since the game was announced there has been a lot of talk about who will be playing and everyone is looking forward to it, But we are of the mind-set that it is very much part of our pre-season. It`s important that we approach it in the right way and get what we need out of the game.

"It`s a massive occasion for the club and even bigger for the town, so we want to make sure we are ready and that it`s a good game."
