Elphick: A very modern pre-season

AFC Bournemouth captain Tommy Elphick has so far enjoyed pre season under the management duo of Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall.

For the majority of the squad this is the first pre-season the squad have had under Cherries manager Eddie Howe following his return to Dean Court from Burnley in October.

The Cherries squad returned to pre-season training last week ahead of tomorrow's (Monday) trip to Switzerland.

Eddie Howe's side will then have a five day training camp ahead of the game against FC Zurich on Friday.

Elphick told afcb.co.uk...

"It`s been good to see the lads and work with the gaffer and the coaching staff again, We`ve got the balls out early, which I`m a big fan of, and it`s been a very modern pre-season.

"Everyone enjoyed their summer and rightly so but everyone has come back in good condition.

"We are all excited. We`ve seen the fixtures and spoken about the challenges ahead, which the lads are looking forward to.

"If we can all get through pre-season fit and healthy and be ready for 3rd August, then I`m sure it will be a good season."
