Cherries linked with Simeon Jackson

Cherries linked with Simeon Jackson

AFC Bournemouth have been linked with a move for former Norwich City striker Simeon Jackson.

The 26 year old Canadian international was released by Premier League side Norwich at the end of last season after making 85 appearances since his £600,000 move from Gillingham three years ago.

35 appearances came in the Premier League, with Jackson scoring four goals, overall he scored 21 league and cup goals for Norwich.

Alex Aldridge a reporter for the Southwark News wrote on Twitter on Wednesday, that the Millwall target had been offered a contract by the Cherries.

Hear #afcb, who are backed by big money, have offered Simeon Jackson a contract.

He went on to add...

At this stage all offers, by all clubs, will be verbal. Discussing numbers etc.

While Sky Sports also 'understands Bournemouth are lining up a move' with Jackson on Cherries manager Eddie Howe's 'wanted list'.

Meanwhile Ian Harte has denied links with a move to Championship side Middlesbrough, the left back wrote on Twitter...

'People asking if I am going to Middlesbrough no not going there.

'And before you all start.. Yes I know Boro is a good club.. #noooffence
